Waterford Loose Ring
Product Description
Waterford Loose Ring
The Waterford Loose Ring is a fairly severe bit compared to more basic snaffle types, but can be comfortable for the horse if the rider has sympathetic hands. The Waterford mouthpiece consists of a series of metal links, which makes it hard for the horse to take a hold of the bit and pull against it. Although the Waterford mouthpiece is relatively strong, the links are rounded and smooth to minimise the risk of pinching. This mouthpiece is very moveable, allowing the horse to swallow and move the mouth freely.
The loose ring design makes this bit more mobile in the horse's mouth than fixed cheek styles, encouraging the horse to relax the jaw and mouth the bit, whilst preventing leaning.
